Overview

Relay is a desktop download manager. It does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, or telemetry.

Data stored on your device

Relay stores download URLs, file names, destination paths, transfer status, server response metadata, download history, and preferences locally on your device. This information is used to manage transfers and display your history.

Network transfers

When you start or inspect a download, Relay connects directly to the HTTP or HTTPS host in the URL you provided. That host may receive normal connection information such as your IP address and request headers under its own privacy practices. Relay does not proxy or upload downloaded file content to IAM_DEV servers.

Credentials

If a protected download requires credentials, Relay sends the authentication information only to the selected download host. If you choose to save a secret, it is stored using the secure credential storage provided by your operating system. Non-secret authentication metadata may be kept with the local download record.

External links

Relay opens Microsoft Store and email links only after you choose the corresponding action. Those services operate under their own privacy policies.

Data control

You can remove download records from within Relay. Removing a record can also remove an associated partial file when you choose that option. Uninstalling the app may not automatically remove files you downloaded to folders you selected.
